What you'll be doing
As a Street Lighting Electrician, you will have the following accountabilities:
* Undertake routine maintenance of Lighting Columns, lighting brackets, Lanterns,
bollards and signs;
* Undertake reactive maintenance including fault finding and repair
* Carry out electrical safety inspections
* Complete and sign off electrical test sheets following installations
* Management of on site point of work risk assessments
* Identify and report safety observations
* Responsible for site Traffic and Pedestrian Management;
* Responsible for company Property, Equipment and Vehicles;
* Emergency call out.
Who we're looking for
The following qualities and experience are essential:
* Technical competence and experience of Street Lighting;
* A strong work ethic and desire to complete your tasks right first time;
* Excellent attention to detail & self-motivated;
* Able to demonstrate technical knowledge and analytical skills;
* Must be comfortable working within a team as well as working alone;
* You will have a good level of written and numerical skills;
* A demonstrable ability to learn new processes quickly;
* IT skills Excel, Word ability to use a Tablet / Apps;
* Full clean UK Driving Licence.
Essential Qualifications
* 18th Edition Wiring regulations;
* Level 2 Electrical qualification;
* Level 3 Electrical qualification;
* 2391 Inspection & Testing or 714 Street Lighting Testing;
* G39 + 214 Safe Isolation
Desirable Qualifications
* ESSW;
* IPAF 1b + Harness and Fall Arrest training;
* ECS Card to relevant level;
* CSCS/NPORS Red card;
* 302.1 (12D) Traffic Management;
* Manual Handling training;
* NRSWA operative training;
* Emergency First Aid (1 Day)training
