Semi-Senior Accountant
Location: Rochdale
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £26,000.00 - £30,000.00 per year
About:
We are now recruiting for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join a small size accountancy expanding practice. This role will cover a range of responsibilities in a variety of different areas of bookkeeping, accounts preparation and tax. The position is a full-time role.
Your role will cover:
1. Bookkeeping via a variety of digital systems.
2. Preparation, calculation and submission of VAT returns to HMRC.
3. Preparation of management accounts.
4. Preparation, calculation and submission of Self-Assessment Returns to HMRC.
5. Preparation of annual financial statements.
6. Preparation, calculation and submission of Corporation Tax Returns to HMRC.
7. Liaising with clients.
8. Operating with a regular portfolio of clients.
Qualifications:
1. A good set of IT skills, with experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office products, accounts, tax and bookkeeping software, preferably with good experience of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent and IRIS/Digita.
2. Good communication skills, able to confidently liaise with clients by telephone, e-mail and face to face.
3. Good organizational skills.
4. Able to work both individually and within a team.
5. Preference will be given to candidates with experience within public practice.
6. Preference will be given to candidates with AAT or above qualifications.
7. 2 Years Experience (required).
