As a Lead IT Pega Developer, you’ll lead the development and implementation of assigned projects within the our Road part of the business. You’ll manage all development and integration activities associated with medium to complex cross-functional projects, ensuring technical delivery across the systems development lifecycle. This includes technical design, development, testing, and maintenance activities. You’ll create and manage delivery plans and required development resources to ensure business requirements are completely satisfied, on time, and within budget.
What will I be doing?
* Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders and delivery partners to understand business requirements and drive the development of high-quality technical solutions.
* Contribute to solution design, identifying innovative solutions to business requirements, driving standardisation and re-usability.
* Provide development estimates for assigned changes/projects and manage demand to meet changing needs and requirements.
* Ensure low-level design and build are fully aligned with business requirements in collaboration with architecture, infrastructure, security, and external partners.
* Manage development and application maintenance activities for assigned applications to meet both functional and non-functional requirements, within budget and timescale.
* Perform hands-on development and peer reviews as required, exercising troubleshooting and methodical diagnostic skills to resolve issues.
What do I need?
Required Skills and Experience:
* Strong and demonstrable experience within the design and implementation of Pega PRPC-based solutions (preferably experience with 8.x).
* In-depth understanding of the full Software Delivery Lifecycle (ideally in both waterfall and agile models).
* Demonstrable experience in the timely delivery of medium-large scale development programs/projects.
* Strong team management ability, influencing, and organisational awareness.
* Strong analytical and management skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Coaching and mentoring experience.
* Vendor or offshore management experience is advantageous.
* Prior management, supervisory, and/or team leadership experience is beneficial.
Qualifications:
* Pega Certified Lead Systems Architect would be highly beneficial.
* Other related professional qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
