About this opportunity
We are looking to recruit a full time parking assistant that will cover 7 days a week, working to annualised hours on a rota based system. The successful candidate will work as part of the Thriving Places team, reporting to the Parking Team Leader.
The successful candidates will:
1. Collect cash via a cash register
2. Deal with customer enquiries
3. Opening and closing multi-storey car parks
4. Taking parking payments over the phone
5. Reporting faults to parking providers and updating relevant documents
6. Liaising with colleagues with regards to parking machines issues
7. Dealing with coin and ticket jams within the pay machines
8. Gritting car parks
9. Assisting the Parking Team Leader to ensure Health and Safety policy and procedures are adhered to including the operation of the Shopping Centre and Car Park lifts, Fire Safety Plan and other building security
Who we are looking for…
The successful candidate will:
1. Be passionate about customer service
2. Possess the ability to work independently or as part of a team
3. Be physically able to cope with the requirements of the job
4. Be flexible with their working hours/ days
In addition, you will have:
1. A good standard of education with a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent experience
2. The ability to communicate effectively with members of the public and other team members
3. Experience of working with computers and Microsoft Office
4. Demonstrable experience of working with the public in a similar type role
