Job Description:
We're currently looking for a People Relations Advisor to join our Rochdale Distribution Centre!
What You'll Be Doing:
* Provide practical and effective first line employee relations advice across the Distribution Centre, including timely and accurate advice on disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and family-friendly policies.
* Manage queries empathetically and communicate outcomes clearly to minimize appeals.
* Act as a team player with the wider People team by sharing knowledge.
* Support and coach Line Managers to effectively manage and resolve employee relations matters.
* Maintain an excellent working knowledge of up-to-date employment legislation, best practices, and case law.
* Work autonomously and prioritize tasks with guidance from the People Relations management team as needed.
* Utilize Occupational Health appropriately within people relations casework and write referrals to OH Advisors.
* Communicate with and support the People management team to ensure fair application of employee relations policies and procedures.
* Maintain clear audit trails for all People records in accordance with GDPR.
* Support in ensuring critical People processes are executed within the relevant timescale.
What We're Looking For:
* CIPD qualified to a minimum of Level 5; Level 3 may be considered with substantial relevant HR generalist experience.
* Previous HR/People Advisor experience is essential, particularly in a changing environment managing high volume complex issues.
* Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and People Relations policies and procedures.
* Comfortable offering advice and minute-taking in formal meetings.
* Good communication skills with the ability to guide, influence, and challenge current practices appropriately.
* Proficient knowledge of Office365 and HR Systems (experience with CoreHR/PeopleXD is advantageous).
* Accurate typing skills with attention to detail.
* Proven experience of working in a constantly changing environment.
* Flexible to work outside of standard office hours if required to support a 24/7 operation.
