MLK Search is excited to be supporting a two form entry Primary academy in the heart of Ealing to recruit a strong, dynamic, and confident SENCO for the new Academic Year.
The school is committed to achieving high standards and exceptional pastoral care for its pupils. Serving the communities of Northolt and Greenford, they work closely with families to ensure the support is there for children both in and out of the classroom.
Core Responsibilities
* Determine the strategic development of SEN policy and provision in the school
* Be responsible for the daily operations and specific provision to support pupils with SEND
* Provide professional development to colleagues, parents and other relevant agencies
* Be the Deputy DSL to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, and follow school policies and the staff code of conduct
* Be the Designated Teacher for Looked After Children
You will:
* Have a relevant degree, with QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
* Hold the NASENCO qualification or be willing to undertake
* Have successful teaching and management/leadership experience within a Primary setting
* Present a solid understanding of the SEN COP, safeguarding, and child protection
* Have evidence of leading staff training related to teaching and SEN
