Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons designed to meet the unique needs of students with a variety of SEN. Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to create and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) that support academic, emotional, and social development. Continuously assess and monitor student progress, making adjustments to teaching strategies and interventions as necessary. Cultivate an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere that builds student confidence and fosters independence. Work closely with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for each student. Adhere to the school’s safeguarding policies and ensure the well-being and safety of all students. About You The ideal candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Have proven experience working with secondary school students with SEN. Possess a strong understanding of SEN strategies, IEPs, and effective behaviour management techniques. Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills. Be passionate about inclusive education, inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential. Desirable Additional qualifications in SEN, such as the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO). Experience working with specific needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or sensory impairments.
