Milk Education is seeking a passionate, motivated, and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join a partner, vibrant primary school in Newcastle. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting young children's learning and development, ensuring they receive the best possible start to their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of resources and activities tailored to the EYFS curriculum.
- Provide individual or small group support to children with their learning, promoting active participation and building confidence.
- Support children with their personal and social development, including encouraging good behaviour and positive interactions.
- Observe and record children's progress, working closely with the teacher to identify areas for development.
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all children.
The Ideal EYFS Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience in an EYFS or primary school setting is desirable, but not essential.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
- A relevant qualification in childcare or education (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent) is advantageous.
