Paralegal - Corporate and Commercial Location: BasingstokeSalary: Competitive My client, a leading law firm, are recruiting for a new Paralegal to join their Corporate and Commercial team. This role is fundamental to success and relies on a blend of strong legal skills and building relationships with clients. Duties will include: Drafting a variety of corporate and commercial documents and agreements; Updating company books and statutory registers including submitting filings to Companies House; Conducting research to answer any issues of law that arise; Carrying out administrative tasks such as opening files, conducting client due diligence and preparing documents; Attending meetings with clients and stakeholders, both remotely and in person; Providing support and updates to client to ensure they are informed of the progression of their matter; Liaising with external parties, such as counsel and financial advisors; Establishing and managing data rooms, including reviewing due diligence documentation for key issues; Assisting with the creation of documents for internal use such as procedural and precedent documents; Assisting the other members of the Corporate and Commercial Team; Supporting the team with client billing and time recording; Benefits include: My client offers a performance related bonus, a company pension scheme, a group life assurance scheme, 26 days holiday, and we offer a range of benefits including the ability to purchase up to a further 5 days holiday, pension scheme, cycle to work scheme amongst others. Skills and experience required: A strong academic background and (if appropriate) has completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or equivalent qualification; Ideally experience working as a Paralegal or similar in Corporate Commercial law; Excellent communication skills; A willingness to work with and adopt new technologies and innovations; Proficiency in using MS office; Previous experience of working with minimal supervision but also take specific legal direction; A high level of precision and attention to detail. Experience with legal research tools (e.g., Practical Law, LexisNexis)
