Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Avionic Technician to join our team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance tasks, completing paperwork and reporting to the Hangar Manager.
This is a permanent position based in Birmingham, working a 5/5/4 shift pattern. The salary package includes a competitive salary, 4% employer contribution to pension, 25 days annual leave entitlement, service awards from 2 years, sick pay and other benefits.
About the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure accurate completion of company and third-party paperwork, report directly to the Hangar Manager and carry out maintenance tasks to correct standard.
Responsibilities include full removal and strip of equipment, installation of complex wiring harnesses and modifications to existing wiring, electrical and avionics work including wiring terminations and testing, removal and installation of various shelves, panels and equipment, loom manufacture and testing, and systems testing.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
* A completed engineering apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical engineering or military equivalent;
* Minimum of 8 years aircraft experience desired;
* Previous aircraft production experience;
* Previous modification experience;
* Military aircraft experience essential;
* Excellent hand skills;
* Reliability;
* Adaptability;
* Good interpersonal skills;
* Organisational skills;
* Communication skills;
* Knowledge of MS Office applications;
* Eligible to work and live in the UK;
* Subject to UK security Vetting.
