RE Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role in Stockport
Teaching Personnel is seeking a Religious Education (RE) Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Stockport. This full-time position is available for an immediate start and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of a permanent role based on performance. The pay for this role is £419.25 - £500 per week.
Role Overview
This role is ideal for a recent RE graduate or someone with a strong academic background in religious studies who is looking to gain valuable school-based experience. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students and teachers in the humanities department, supporting lessons and helping students engage with the subject matter.
Key Responsibilities
1. Classroom Support: Assist the RE teacher in delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons, ensuring students remain focused and understand key concepts.
2. Small Group and One-to-One Interventions: Work with students who require additional support in their learning.
3. Resource Preparation: Help create and organise lesson materials to enhance student understanding.
4. Behaviour Management: Support the teacher in maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment.
5. Exam and Coursework Assistance: Provide guidance to students preparing for assessments, ensuring they develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
6. Progress Monitoring: Track student development and provide feedback to teachers to help improve learning outcomes.
