There is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established Developmental Team, within the Neurodevelopmental and Neurodisability (NDND) Care Group in the paediatric Directorate at St Georges’ Hospital.
The postholder will undertake regular Developmental Clinics and LAC Clinics within the Neurodevelopmental and Neurodisability Care Group as part of plans to meet rising service needs and replace a retiring staff member. The post holder will be working alongside the Named Doctor and Nurse for Looked After Children and the rest of the wider LAC team, who all contribute to delivering the clinical aspect of the LAC service. The post holder will ensure a high standard of care is achieved and maintained within their organisation demonstrating effective leadership skills and working within a team.
Clinical Duties:
1. Provide clinics for the assessment and management of children with suspected neurodevelopmental delay or disorders such as ADHD or ASD
2. LAC - Provide clinics for IHA and RHA services for Looked after Children and produce timely reports for the same
CPD, Audit & Clinical Governance:
1. Participate in CPD activity
2. Support ongoing audit within the care group
3. Observe the clinical governance requirements of the post
4. The precise job plan and clinics will depend on the skills and experience of the successful applicant and in negotiation with the relevant Clinical Leads and Care Group Lead.
5. Likely daily and weekly activities are described below although the exact timetable will vary in order to meet the needs of the service.
