Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Practitioner to join the Northumberland and North Tyneside At Risk Mental State Service (ARMS).
The ARMS service is a small multi-disciplinary team offering interventions to try to prevent the onset of psychosis. We welcome applications from enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest in working with young people and adults aged 14-25 who are thought to be at risk of developing psychosis.

Main duties of the job
1. Working in the At Risk Mental State (ARMS) service to offer care and support on a recovery-focused journey for people aged 14-25 years.
2. Deliver evidenced based Clinical and Psychologically based Interventions.
3. Participation in duty rota and triaging new referrals.
4. Support health promotion of service users.
5. Promote a culture of learning, education, and professional development.
6. Adhere to safeguarding principles in line with Trust Policy.
7. Undertake and record comprehensive risk assessments.
8. Must be able to meet travel requirements of the role; a full driving license is required.
Person specification
Qualifications and Experience
* Professional Qualification and current Professional Registration as, a First Level Registered Nurse (RNMH, RMN, RNLD) or equivalent as an AHP, Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist.
* Evidence of post-registration training in clinical/psychological interventions relevant to the post.
* Proven track record of post-registration clinical experience relevant to the post.
Knowledge and Experience
* Awareness and understanding of professional accountability and NMC standards.
Skills
* Excellent communication skills and commitment to multi-agency teamwork.
* Ability to provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
* Experience of working within a community mental health setting.
* Must be able to meet travel requirements of the role; a full driving license is required.
