The CBRE Planning team across the north is 20 strong and has four distinct core activities around Development Management, Development Promotion, Regeneration/Economics and Viability. The team is involved in the largest planning/ development/ regeneration schemes across the North and our pipeline of new instructions for 2024 is substantial, including: ?Salford Crescent - multi-phase mixed-use scheme for Muse/ECF ?Chorlton District Centre - residential-led redevelopment of existing shopping centre in conjunction with PJ Livesey and GMPVF ?Parkside East - started a 4 year Development Consent Order process to deliver a nationally significant Strategic Rail Freight Interchange and c. 3m sq. ft of associated commercial development ?Oldham - multiple regeneration schemes within the town centre for Muse/ECF following the production of a Development Framework ?Stoke-on-Trent - next phases of the Smithfield city centre regeneration scheme for Genr8 ?East Midlands Airport - logistics scheme on freeport designated site for Manchester Airport Group ?Airedale General Hospital - masterplan and planning strategy including delivery of enabling works to facilitate the new hospital ?Lancaster - new innovation campus for the University ?Bury Interchange - new interchange facility for TfGM Key Responsibilities - Providing planning advice to external and internal clients across all sectors/land-uses, with a focus on projects across the North. - Day to day involvement in major/complex applications and planning instructions, including coordination and project management. - Preparing Planning Appraisals, Statements and Evidence documents, as appropriate, including analysis of planning policy and assessment of client proposals both against policy and other considerations. - Undertaking planning due diligence. - Preparing and coordinating planning appeals. - Advising, directing and managing project outputs from a range of disciplines/professionals. - Financial responsibility and management of projects. - Identifying, developing and pursuing new business and marketing opportunities in a range of sectors. Person Specification/Requirements - Professional Membership of either the RICS (P&D) or RTPI with relevant experience post qualification experience. - Dynamic, enthusiastic, flexible and commercially astute with excellent interpersonal skills. - Strong focus on own professional skills and integrity. - The ability and confidence to engage directly with clients and be the primary point of contact on major projects. - Manage and coordinate the input and activities of other professionals within project design teams, give advice and direction, and make decisions. - Experience of working on major schemes either within the private or public sectors. - The ability to multi-task, work to tight timescales, often under challenging circumstances, with minimal supervision and to a high standard. - Willingness and/or ability to identify and nurture new business opportunities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills and analytical abilities. - Confident team player able to work well with colleagues and clients as well as manage, nurture and mentor junior members of the team.
