The Engineering Project Manager will manage & deliver engineering projects (Up to £50m) to transition the logistics network in alignment with strategic directives. Ensure that proposed technology and building specifications adhere to engineering policies, engineering standards and the defined Net Carbon Zero strategy. Ensure that solutions are designed in conjunction with operations / Health & Safety teams to ensure all operational interfaces (eg. Workstations) are designed to industry best practice standards. Support the Lead Engineering Manager with all project processes up to and through feasibility, concept, RFI and tender phases, and manage delivery of projects on time, to cost, to meet statutory and engineering standards Manage the site project delivery team comprising of suppliers, building contractors and construction consultants to ensure delivery of the projects on time, on budget and to the agreed scope Who you are: A recognised engineering qualification (degree level or equivalent) Significant and relevant experience within FMCG / retail / manufacturing Previous experience of cradle to grave project management of construction / mechanical installation projects in a retail / manufacturing environment. Previous experience of delivering testing & commissioning programmes to ensure that solutions meet the specification requirements (Mechanical & Solution Throughput) Professional with project management skills who can improve business performance through a structured approach to the management of project delivery Excellent knowledge of MHE Systems, solutions, and suppliers as well as knowledge of Facilities and Maintenance Management would be an advantage Highly motivated by the challenge of continuous improvement and value engineering required for project delivery Self-motivated individual who champions breakthrough ideas and initiatives - confronts & works to resolve tough issues. Works in a calm, controlled manner in a fast moving environment to provide guidance to supply chain management. Real team player who displays competencies required to challenge and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver a common goal Good organisational, proven budgetary control & time management skills Effective and clear communication (written & verbal) to influence peer group/senior management.
