A mutlidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy based in Liverpool City Centre are on the lookout for a Senior Civil Engineer with at least 6+ years' experience in design engineering to join the team working on a range of Residential, Commercial and Industrial projects.
The company have 5 offices across the UK and their Liverpool office is their latest addition having opened in. This office is now home to 10 staff which includes 7 Structural Engineers and 3 Civil Engineers at the moment. The right person would be the 4th addition to Civils team.
The company have an extremely secure and steady pipeline of work and are actively looking for someone who can help deliver work technically and also head up a small team of engineers. The ideal Civil Engineer will be Chartered with the ICE and will have at least 6+ years' experience in a similar consultancy-based role.
Responsibilities of a Senior Civil Engineer:
1. Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
2. Provide technical expertise in civil engineering design, including the use of relevant software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and surveyors, to ensure seamless project coordination.
4. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
5. Conduct site visits and inspections, resolving engineering challenges and proposing innovative solutions.
6. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development and growth.
Requirements of a Senior Civil Engineer:
7. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
8. Professional engineering license (e.g., Chartered Engineer status).
9. 6+ years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
10. Proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PDS).
11. Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information.
13. Proven leadership abilities and the capacity to lead and motivate project teams.
14. A track record of delivering successful civil engineering projects.
15. Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., Institution of Civil Engineers).
