Job Description
Element has an opportunity for an SAR Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the SAR Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. You must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities:
* Provides technical and engineering leadership, and supports the development of new technologies within a local laboratory and potentially across the Element enterprise
* Accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers inlcuding creation and sign off of test reports
* Able to oversee and guide problem solving of complicated technical challenges
* Provides input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers
* Assists in the professional development of technicians and engineers within the local laboratory
* Support technical leadership to interpret and apply regulations to a variety of cutting-edge technologies
Essential skills:
* In-depth knowledge of SAR testing techniques
* In-depth knowledge of testing Consumer Products for global certification requirements
* Has also demonstrated the ability to develop technical knowledge in their chosen field
* Working knowledge of laboratory safety
Nice to have:
* Will have a minimum of 2 years’ pertinent post-degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualifications
