Children’s Home Deputy Manager
Salary: Up to £34,480 (This includes two sleep-in shifts a month on a 40-hour contract)

The Role:
We are looking for a passionate Deputy Manager to join our flagship home and collaborate with the Registered Manager in developing exceptional care services for children with learning disabilities. Our home accommodates up to four children, some of whom may have complex needs. This role can be challenging but is incredibly rewarding. This role will be part office-based, with at least one shift a week spent working with staff within the home.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily operations and staff management within the care home.
2. Provide leadership and support to team members, fostering a positive work environment.
3. Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and adhere to company policies.
4. Assist in developing comprehensive health, education, and care plans while monitoring children's and young people's well-being, enabling a broad range of dynamic activities fuelled by curiosity.
5. Collaborate effectively with health, education, care professionals, and families.
6. Manage administrative tasks, health and safety protocols, and staff supervision.
7. Develop tailored training programs for staff to enhance our quality of care.
Skills and Knowledge:
1. Proven experience supervising staff in a children and young people's environment.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interactions with children, families, and healthcare providers.
3. Knowledge of best practices in home care and understanding of regulatory requirements.
4. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.
5. Knowledge of using Makaton, PECs, or other communication methods would be an advantage.
6. Must have level 3 qualification in children and young people.
7. Car driver is essential.
