In the role of Multi-Skilled Shift Technician, you will be responsible for the operation, installation, and maintenance of building engineering services, by providing specialist operational support to achieve and sustain an optimum working environment.
Job Description
Provide a high standard of planned preventative and reactive maintenance. Involvement in the ongoing technical evaluation of all plant and equipment. Suggesting improvements where appropriate.
Accurate recording and reporting of all maintenance works, to ensure Filed flex database is correctly updated. Carrying out operational duties and maintenance routines as directed by the Shift Supervisor, ensuring work is executed in a safe and suitable manner inline with the governance set out within the ISS SSOW.
Working as directed to ensure timely completion of PPM's and reactive work to SLA. Monitoring and maintaining equipment performance to ensure correct operation of the mission critical facility, Act as an Authorised Person for LV and progress towards HV AP.
Key Responsibilities
* Work in partnership with the campus facilities team in delivering a best-in-class workplace environment
* Carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated systems
* Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements and ISS Safe systems of work SSOW
* Ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records and update documentation as directed
* Respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Engineering related reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests
* Coordinate initial actions associated with all requests from the client
* Coordinate and manage visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with scheduled PPM or reactive call out
* Fault finding and diagnosis associated with the PPM or Reactive maintenance of the site
* Deputise for shift leader as and when required
* Attend site meetings as required
* Provide reports in relation to work and equipment as required
* Undertake miscellaneous duties as requested from site leads
* Ensure completion of on-going on job training programs within the department to meet brand and service standards
* Undertake training, review & assessment including such training as necessary to maintain standards and advancement to a higher grade
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
* Qualified to level 3 or above in a recognised electrical or mechanical discipline e.g., City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent
* Multi-skilled, have completed their test and inspecting, with 3 years’ experience operating mission critical or critical facilities equipment
* Good appreciation of the full range of M & E equipment in a modern complex systems environment e.g., UPS systems, standby generators, BMS, and LV switchgear, Air Conditioning, and chilled water systems
* Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
