The Role
As a Maintenance Team Leader at Safran Electrical & Power, you will lead and supervise the team members in providing maintenance, repairs and improvement work to production and test equipment across the site. You will ensure all servicing is accomplished with minimal impact on production and engineering. You will utilise team resources and management in line with HSE policies and ergonomic requirements with a “hands on” approach.
1. Provide daily direction for the team on all maintenance related activity
2. Ensure resource is prioritised in response to breakdowns, minimising business impact
3. Provide maintenance, repairs and improvement work on equipment onsite, carrying out routine planned maintenance when required
4. Assist with the control, ordering and replenishment of spare parts and components
5. Liaise and keep production and engineering teams updated to ensure they are aware of disruptions
6. Work with specialist sub-contractors to assist with maintenance on the site
7. Input information into the management system, providing feedback to reduce unplanned downtime
8. Order spare parts as and when requested
Desirable Experience
We are looking for candidates with a range of skills and experience, but we’re also keen to help people grow and develop in this role. If you have some or all of the following, we’d love to hear from you:
* Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
* Qualification (HNC, HND or equivalent) in appropriate engineering discipline desirable
* Management or leadership experience
* Excellent fault-finding skills with an analytical approach
* Knowledge and application of maintenance management systems
* Evidence of written English at interview stage
