As our customers’ first point of contact, an excellent telephone manner is essential along with the ability to quickly build rapport with our customers. Good organisational skills are required to enable you to prioritise work to meet the customer needs, working to tight deadlines when required. Having a common sense and flexible approach to work you will manage your workload and be able to work on several different contracts as the need arises. Proven experience of managing a varied workload and prioritising tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail is essential. The main duties of the role include: Responding professionally and politely to telephone and email orders and enquiries from both internal and external contacts From information provided by the engineer, identifying parts required and sourcing from the most competitive supplier Ensuring all orders are taken correctly, accurately and in a timely manner, updating the database with accurate notes taken whilst dealing with the call and before processing the order Raising quotations as requested, from preferred suppliers at the most competitive price Trouble shooting as and when required, to ensure customers’ expectations are met Assisting with pricing, part numbering and sourcing of parts as necessary to fulfil customer orders To undertake all training necessary to become fully competent in the role and to have the flexibility to work across contracts as the need arises To comply with all health and safety requirements The successful candidate will be required to participate in the Company Out of Hours Standby Service on a rostered basis, which includes cover over Bank and Statutory Days Holiday.
