Our client is a growing broadband provider, delivering high-speed connectivity to some of Scotland’s most remote areas. As their team expands, they’re looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to join the installations team. As a Fibre Installation Engineer, you’ll play a key role in connecting customers to a reliable fibre broadband service. Working alongside an experienced team and reporting to the Fibre Team Leader, you’ll help deliver an ambitious rollout of ultrafast broadband across rural towns and villages. Please note they are willing to take on people with no experience within the industry and provide internal training and cover accreditation courses. Day to day responsibilities: Carry out excavation works in customers’ gardens for fibre installations Install Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) by pulling or blowing cables through underground networks to homes Clear blockages using soft excavation techniques Perform overhead network installations when required Complete internal cabling and set up customer premises equipment Support a positive customer experience and encourage feedback Requirements for the role: Ideally experience within a fibre engineering role or similar, i.e. CCTV or Satellite Engineer Strong customer service and communication skills Confidence working at height and carrying out manual tasks A full UK driving licence (essential) Benefits package: Van and fuel card 10% company bonus 5% employer pension contribution 22 days plus bank holidays Discounted Gym Membership Employee Assistance Programme Discounted home internet (Coverage dependant)
