A little more about your role...
* Assess and/or supervise contractors' works and surveys.
* Business development - liaison with new and potential clients, both internal and external to WSP.
* Analyse data relating to a combination of scenarios including site closure, decommissioning, demolition or remediation.
* Project delivery both to programme and budget including preparation of reports.
* Collaborate with the internal and external project teams to develop and implement project plans.
* Pro-actively participate in safety protocols and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
* Travel - our projects are predominantly UK based, with a requirement to work away from home (the frequency of which is project dependent). Some international travel may be required.
* Continuing personal development - Stay updated on industry best practices and environmental regulations.
Your Team...
The Site Closure, Demolition & Remediation Team deliver work as part of the broader WSP Ground & Water team, which undertakes planning, procurement and management of decommissioning, demolition and remediation projects for industrial, energy and development clients. Our projects are predominantly in the UK; however, the team is currently involved in an increasing number of international projects. The role will work within a small specialist team on a range of projects and will work closely with other WSP technical disciplines, including asbestos, structures and other environmental teams.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate...
* A degree level qualification in a relevant field or industry.
* Direct experience in the management of demolition and/or remediation contractors.
* Experience of demolition or remediation activities in high hazard environments. Specific experience of either nuclear or petrochemical sites would be preferable.
* Working knowledge of demolition code of practice and CDM Regulations.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting software.
* Knowledge of UK CDM, Demolition code of practice, environmental regulations and guidelines.
* Willingness to travel to project sites.
