You will receive support from experienced teachers and mentors throughout your induction year.\n\nKey Responsibilities of a Secondary ECT (Early Career Teacher):\n\nPlan and deliver well-structured lessons following the national curriculum.\nAdapt teaching methods to suit different learning needs, ensuring inclusivity.\nAssess student progress and provide constructive feedback.\nCreate a positive and engaging classroom environment.\nBuild strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.\nManage behaviour effectively to maintain a safe learning space.\nTake part in professional development, mentoring, and training sessions.\nRequirements to be a Secondary ECT (Early Career Teacher):\n\nQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in a secondary subject.\nExperience as an ECT in a secondary school, with adaptable teaching strategies.\nStrong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.\nAbility to inspire and engage students through interactive lessons.\nGood classroom management and organisational skills.\nA proactive and reflective approach to teaching.\nAn updated CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps).\nAn enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).\nWhat We Offer to a Secondary ECT (Early Career Teacher): \n\nCompetitive pay rates based on your experience.\nA variety of teaching opportunities in different schools.\nSupport from a dedicated consultant throughout your placement.\nThe chance to work in schools that value quality teaching.\nSafeguarding Commitment\n\nThis role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
