Chemical Plant Operator | Mitcham, Surrey | Full Time - 38 Hours per week | £24,127 per year
Our client is one of the world’s largest suppliers of unsaturated polyester resins for composites and a leading supplier of coating resins for a wide variety of markets and applications.
They have an exciting opportunity available for a full-time Chemical Plant Operator to join their team. The position is a temporary appointment with a high possibility of converting to a permanent role.

Are you the right person for the job?
* Candidate MUST be physically fit
* Previous experience in a similar chemical batch manufacturing environment would be advantageous
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from others in a busy factory environment
* Be flexible to work on a rota
* Live within a commutable distance

What will your role look like?
* Manual handling
* Transporting and supporting heavy loads
* Maintaining housekeeping within the plant
* Filling of finished goods
* Loading reactors and blending tanks
* Loading/unloading of tankers
* Support the shift leader for the safe, efficient and effective operation of plant equipment and processes
* Perform a variety of activities, including reactor loading, thinning/blend tank loading, set up of equipment for various plant tasks, filling/ packaging of products, assisting the shift leader in loading/unloading of finished goods tankers and housekeeping
