Operational Excellence Coordinator - Regional
What you will enjoy doing
Regional role covering all UK sites (Base preference North West – Commutable to WA3)
Purpose of job/mission:
With support from the wider OPEX function, this individual will contribute to the achievement of Operational Excellence for the plants, through the effective application of the ALPLA Group OPEX Improvement Strategy.
Tasks & responsibilities:
* Support the implementation of OPEX Improvement strategies and programs for the plants - monitoring progress, and taking corrective actions where necessary.
* Facilitate and participate in improvement projects including Kaizen and SMED workshops.
* Support the creation of Strategic KPIs (OPEX Index, eMIS 2.0).
* Constantly monitor the performance of the plants and prepare analyses for meetings such as monthly management meetings.
* Ensure that Alpla systems are implemented to the required standards (i.e., Business Process Mapping and CTO).
* Support the rollout of CTO implementation in all plants as required.
* Perform any other duties requested by the line manager that are consistent with the purpose of the job / specific function.
What makes you great
Experience:
* Delivery of structured improvement programs in high volume plastic packaging manufacture or similar industry.
* Track record of successful application of improvement tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, and Problem solving.
* Training of cross-functional teams in the application of improvement tools and processes.
* Communication planning and delivery for participants and stakeholders.
* Application of involvement and engagement processes in a manufacturing environment.
* Line Management experience – willing to mentor and develop others.
* Operations Controlling (Data Analysis).
Qualifications/Skills:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Recognised certification Lean Six Sigma or equivalent (desirable).
* Advanced Microsoft Excel.
* Data analysis.
* Improvement and problem-solving techniques (5WHY, A3, 8D).
* Project/program management.
