Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality MFL lessons across key stages, ensuring an engaging and challenging curriculum is implemented. The role will require a teacher who can inspire students to achieve their full potential, contribute to the development of the MFL department, and participate actively in the wider school community. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging MFL lessons that cater to the needs of all students. Develop and implement strategies to support student progress and achievement. Participate in departmental meetings, sharing best practices, and contributing to curriculum development. Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as required. Engage in professional development and contribute to the school’s wider ethos and values. Ensure effective classroom management in line with the school's behaviour policy. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong knowledge and teaching experience of MFL at KS3 and KS4. Experience with KS5 is desirable but not essential. A degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related field. Passion for language teaching with the ability to inspire and motivate students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to promoting high standards of teaching and learning. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Desirable: Previous experience teaching a second foreign language (e.g., Spanish, German, French). Experience of teaching A-Level or similar courses.
