About Our Client
Our client is a reputable institution within the Not For Profit sector, based in Wakefield.
Job Description
3. Supporting the finance team in managing, processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions.
4. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
5. Performing routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director.
6. Helping with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
7. Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes.
8. Maintaining financial security by adhering to internal controls, and keeping information confidential.
9. Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
10. Compliance with all financial regulations.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
11. A degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
12. Proficient use of finance software.
13. Strong skills in mathematics, analytics and problem-solving.
14. Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
15. High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
16. Understanding of data privacy standards and financial regulations.
17. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial processes and budget preparation.
