This busy role requires a project engineer with experience of commercial/industrial builds, with the ability to ensure that all tradespeople and contractors are working together to an agreed plan and that progress is being made. Project manage all project phases from inception through handover in accordance with program objectives. The successful candidate will perform the essential project management job duties and functions as listed below with the overall objective of establishing an execution framework on the project that complies with the contract and ensures the safety, quality, value and timeliness of projects. The role involves making decisions in areas that may impact the organisation and its employees, clients, budgets, policies, procedures, work practices, or compliance programs. This position performs all project management responsibilities on medium sized and moderate to high risk engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM) projects.PLEASE NOTE: •To be eligible for this role, you must have the right to work in the UK. •Employment is subject to the ability to obtain and maintain a DV – STRAP level security clearance •You must be in possession of a valid passport or be willing to apply for a passport as a condition of employment. •Employment and Right to Work checks are conducted by our partnered supplier HireRight. • Establish and manage project safety plan • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) is emphasized throughout all phases of the project • Sign off on all incident reports and develop and present management summary report • Develop a complete understanding of Fluor prime contract and any relevant subcontracts • Ensure execution of all aspects of the project in accordance with contractual obligations • Ensure full compliance with Fluor prime contract with regard to client reporting, notifications, project system start up and close-out requirements • Establish the project baseline and ensure that it is fully documented, updated throughout all project phases, and appropriately communicated to Fluor project team • Deliver the project in accordance with the project execution and commercial baselines • Establish and define the project organization, define the project staffing requirements, and coordinate staffing with supporting organization managers • Establish, communicate, implement and maintain the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and Project Procedures Manual (PPM) • Provide strong, effective and decisive project leadership and establish an execution framework to ensure the safety, quality, value, timeliness, and profitability of the total project execution (engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM), commissioning, start up, and operations as appropriate to Fluor project scope)Other Job Requirements: • Established Engineering Construction Project work experience • Demonstrable experience of the planning and management of complex engineering projects, including CDM regulations • Excellent computer skills to include MS Office, MS Project, MS Word and Excel. Preferred Qualifications: •Ability to read, perform analyses, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. •Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. •Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers. Experience with U.S Government Milcon projectsConstruction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card to work on a construction site. •Work experience within the construction industry •Project Management – PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent •HNC in Project, Building, Construction Management or relevant civil Engineering Discipline •Construction H&S qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH) or equivalent •Ability to develop or review risk assessments and method statements related to construction activities
