Job Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a GP to join the Living Well Service Multi-disciplinary team in Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) on a temporary basis. We are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team, supporting and collaborating. The team includes a Consultant Therapist, Clinical Psychology, Assistant Psychologists, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy and support staff. The service supports people presenting with long COVID, other post viral conditions, persistent physical symptoms, breathing pattern disorder and those who present frequently to services. We are an award winning, friendly and supportive team who are research active, with a passion for co-production with our partners with lived experience. We are a pan North Wales service, and this secondment role will be undertaken at 2 sessions per week on top of their current GP role. Main duties of the job The post holder will be required to undertake clinical work within the BCUHB Living Well Service, working directly and indirectly with patients, families in outpatient clinics and in their own homes when necessary and staff members. As a key member of the Multi-Disciplinary team, the GP will provide clinical support to the MDT in the triage, assessment and holistic care planning for the client group. They will contribute to service evaluation and planning. In addition, they will provide support for Primary Care colleagues, through education and clinical leadership; as well participate in the ongoing service design and the evaluation process. They will be expected to provide support to the non-medical prescribers in the team. Due to the evolving nature of the conditions covered by the service, regular ongoing review of the literature will be an integral part of the role, in order to inform the advice that is given to patients. These patient groups are often well informed and the successful applicant will need to maintain credibility with patients by being up to date with the latest research.
