Accountancy firm in the city of London has a vacancy for a trainee accountant who ideally has previous experience working in an accountancy practice.
This full-time role offers the successful candidate exposure to a wide range of clients across a variety of sectors. It will help you develop your technical skills and professional development.
Skills / Experience:
* Academic background in accounting and finance
* Good knowledge of Word and Excel
* Previous experience of using Sage Accounts, Xero, and QuickBooks would be advantageous.
* Previous experience of tax (payroll, personal, and corporation tax) would be advantageous.
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Highly organized and ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to communicate effectively.
* Confidence and professionalism when dealing with clients.
* Ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
* Bookkeeping, preparation of payroll, and VAT returns
* Handling financial administration and electronic document management
* Preparing statutory financial statements from primary records or trial balance
* Preparing management accounts
* Preparing tax computations and returns
* Liaising with clients, assisting senior and manager
