An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trust Wide Safeguarding Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children to join our dynamic and forward thinking Safeguarding & Vulnerable People Team., The post supports the leadership and operational delivery of safeguarding across The Trust within a clinical governance framework throughout the Trust. The post holder will work with the Lead for the 0 - 18 Years Safeguarding Service to lead the development of Think Family practice across the Trust. The post holder will provide a crucial link between staff and services, the Safeguarding and Vulnerable People Team and external agencies eg Police and Social Care and act as a safeguarding role model to staff by the delivery of high quality advice and support in individual cases. The post holder will ensure links with a variety of outside agencies and attend multi-agency meetings internal and external to the trust.
* Actively participate and lead on quality assurance processes, audits and report writing in accordance with the safeguarding agenda.
* Assess risk in particular cases and advise clinicians and other teams / professionals with regard to safeguarding and domestic violence issues.
* Ensure that The Trust meets its statutory obligation to safeguard and promote the welfare of all unborn, children and young people and vulnerable adults.

The post holder is required to be a Registered Nurse with supervisory experience.
