We have 2 vacant positions based at Christchurch Women's Prison (CWP) which is located in Templeton, Canterbury. Both positions provide key administrative support to teams within this busy custodial site; one is a newly created role and the other is to replace someone not returning from parental leave.
These positions are varied and will include general office administration tasks, accounts and purchasing, as well as taking calls and providing customer service. Daily mail management is also a key part of the role, which can include handling large volumes of mail on behalf of the wāhine in our care.
One of the vacancies will include responsibility for a stores area for inwards and outwards supplies, including items such as stationery, soap, cleaning supplies, and personal care items.
You will bring a background in administration and demonstrate your ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks, meeting all deadlines. Teamwork is essential, as is your ability to self-manage, support your colleagues, and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
Strong communication and relationship skills are essential for this wide-ranging position. You will need to relate to a diverse range of people, listen effectively, remain calm under pressure, and communicate well both verbally and in writing.

The full salary range is $62,217 - $65,934 per annum across 2 levels. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
