Primary Objective of Position
In this role you will manage the therapeutic area portfolio strategy for Abbott´s Rapid Diagnostics business unit across the EMEA region.
You will report directly into EMEA Therapeutic Area and Connectivity Lead Infectious Disease.
What You will do
9. Develop and adapt therapeutic area strategy and positioning, build brand plansand assure the successful roll-out and local strategy alignment.
10. Convey and representportfolio strategies and tactics, and optimize portfolio mix for EMEA region and on local level.Close collaboration with Regional Marketing Managers to transform portfolio strategy to commercial success.
11. Actively improve therapeutic area product´s reasons to believe and integrate these into positioning and tools.Work in project and transversal mode with the sales, medical & scientific affairs, market access, customer service, finance, logistics and Global & European marketing teams.
12. Work with internal and external agencies as well as internal Marketing Communication Managers to transform therapeutic area value proposition into customer focused messaging tools. Develop, adapt and tailor marketing communication assets and narrative as foundation for sales and marketing campaigns.
13. Build product business cases, considering full P&L metrics, for markets and segments to identify best product fit and return of investment.
14. Partner with global and regional Training teams, co-develop training content, track training success and sales skill levels, i.e.monitor training needs. Closely collaborate with regional commercial leadership to plan and execute commercial effectiveness.
15. Act as an interface between global, regional and local Marketing, MSCO, Market Access as well as Commercial teams.
16. Support the Launch Excellence Manager in drivingEMEA product launches as part of cross-functional teams across the EMEA region.
17. Consult Marketing Lead and Marketing Managers in creatingEMEA and regionalcommercial and brand plans.
18. Continuously monitor the market and competition, conduct market analysesand transform into strategies and tactics to improve the therapeutic area portfolio positioning and grow the business.
19. Externally, manage 3rd party vendors to partner with to complete our platform solutions and to build business/marketing relationships.
20. Act as subject matter expert to develop pricing strategies.
21. Customer Centricity: gain and use deep understanding of perceived therapeutic area portfolio values, clinical pathways and funding streams.
Qualifications
22. BA/BS in Marketing, Business, and/or Biological Science or related fieldrequired, higher degree strongly preferred.
23. At least 7+ years industry experience with ideally 3+ years of experience in in vitro diagnostics marketing functions, ideally familiar with Point-of-Care testing.
24. Familiarity with Infectious Diseases and diagnostic landscape.
25. Proven ability of delivering goals in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
26. Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional language will be considered a strong asset.
27. Excellent interpersonal-, negotiation- and influencing skills.
28. Problem solving attitude; creative, flexible, change embracing.
29. Proven ability to effectively communicate & collaborate with all key stakeholders at higher and lower reporting levels.
