Your Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Scientist 2 to join our Molecular Biology team on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, focusing on Genetic Stability testing packages. As a Molecular Biology Scientist, you will be responsible for the overall conduct of GMP studies. You will provide scientific support to internal and external clients regarding assays conducted within the laboratory. You will also maintain study records, including deviation records to meet regulatory standards, respond to audit observations through BRIQS, and proactively implement improvements to enhance efficiencies and reduce waste. This role will require working 1 in 8 weekends.
Who you are:
* BSc or higher degree in a Biological Science with 5+ years of relevant work experience or a PhD.
* Prior experience in the following Molecular Biology techniques is desirable, including but not limited to: DNA/RNA extractions, qPCR, endpoint PCR, Sanger sequencing, droplet PCR, Northern/Southern blotting, and molecular microbiology.
* Previous experience of working within quality-driven systems (GxP) is preferred.
* Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail and record-keeping.
* Ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, and demonstrate proven interpersonal skills to ensure satisfactory project execution.
* Strong organisational skills, including the ability to plan and organise your own workload to ensure all deadlines are met or exceeded in a fast-paced client-driven environment, which will involve multiple projects and competing priorities.
* Takes personal responsibility to deliver client (internal and external) service to a consistently high standard.
