Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Circa £40,000 (£45,000 OTE) + Holidays + Bank Holidays + Enhanced Pension + Benefits + Training & Development Opportunities
Working Hours: Monday to Friday. 3 Shift Rotation. 1 Week of Nights in 5. Early Finishes on Friday.
ARE YOU A MAINTENANCE ENGINEER WITH EITHER A MECHANICAL OR AN ELECTRICAL BIAS FROM A MANUFACTURING BACKGROUND?
Maintenance Engineer required for a well-established and growing manufacturer who have exciting projects and investment currently happening on site. They offer a varied role within an experienced team environment, with on-the-job and OEM training and development available for the successful engineer.
The role would suit maintenance engineers, maintenance technicians, or service engineers with experience working within a manufacturing environment. You will ideally be apprentice trained but can be either mechanically or electrically biased. Engineers with experience in the FMCG or packaging sector will have a considerable advantage and are encouraged to apply.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work alongside a large and experienced maintenance team where you will be fully supported in your role. The maintenance activities are predominantly mechanical with some basic electrical fault finding required. Due to new machinery and lines being added on site, the maintenance is predominantly reactive. Plans will be in place to move toward a more preventative approach in time. You will have involvement in machinery installation, upgrades, and refurbishments.
Responsibilities:
1. Reactive Maintenance on production and packaging machinery
2. PPM
3. Mostly mechanical maintenance with basic electrical fault finding
4. Machinery Installation, Upgrades, and Refurbishment
5. Monday to Friday 37 Hours. 3 Shift Rotation with 1 week of nights every 5 weeks. Early finish Fridays
Requirements:
1. The role would suit maintenance engineers, service engineers, or maintenance technicians
2. Engineers must have experience working in a manufacturing environment
3. Applicants from FMCG or packaging backgrounds will have a considerable advantage
4. Engineers will ideally be apprentice trained or equivalent
