Youll play a key role in reducing bad debts, improving cash flow, and ensuring that payments come in on time, all while working closely with both clients and internal teams to bolster the Credit Control team's reputation both internally and externally.
What Youll Be Doing:
Lead and inspire the credit control team to hit targets and smash goals.
Develop smart strategies to keep bad debts low and cash flowing.
Stay on top of outstanding accounts and make sure overdue payments are chased down.
Build strong, lasting relationships with customers to ensure fast payments and smooth out any issues.
Work hand-in-hand with sales, finance, and customer service teams to keep everyone aligned and collaborating.
Keep credit policies sharp to minimize risk.
Regularly assess new and existing customers to set sensible credit limits.
Prepare and present reports on outstanding accounts, aged debts, and collections to senior management.
Coach and mentor your team, helping them grow and hit their targets.
Tackle any escalated issues from customers and provide solutions to keep debts down.
Who Were Looking For:
Youve got experience as a Credit Control Manager or in a similar role.
You know your way around credit control practices and techniques.
Youre a strong communicator and a pro at negotiating.
Youve got leadership skills and know how to motivate and manage a team.
Youre great with data, spotting risks, and coming up with strategies to improve cash flow.
Youre comfortable using accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
You pay attention to the details and are a natural problem-solver.
You can handle pressure and meet deadlines with ease.
