IT Support Engineer - Entry Level, Winchester
This role involves working in the IT department, primarily managing the return of various IT equipment such as mobile phones, laptops, radios, and body cams. The role also includes liaising with third-party suppliers for equipment orders and checking incident reports.
The key result areas are as follows:
1. Providing excellent customer support to the forces' user base, minimizing service disruptions.
2. Coordinating onboarding of new starters to meet experience level agreements.
3. Troubleshooting and resolving EUD incidents, requests, and problems within SLA, and identifying patterns for proactive problem management.
4. Updating documentation and knowledge articles as needed.
5. Supporting moves, projects, and events.
6. Following asset management and governance processes.
7. Identifying and suggesting service improvements.
8. Delivering services aligned with KPIs, User Experience Agreements, and SLAs.
The knowledge and skills required:
1. Strong customer service ethos.
2. Ability to follow documented procedures.
3. Troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
4. Good communication skills.
5. Ability to travel across locations; a full UK driving license is essential.
6. Experience in ICT operational delivery.
7. Supporting Windows 10, smartphones, laptops, and desktops.
8. Experience resolving incidents and requests.
9. Proven ability to identify and implement service improvements.
10. ITIL V3 Foundation or V4 certification.
11. Experience with ServiceNow.
12. Note: Due to police criteria, applicants must have resided in the UK for at least the last 5 years.
