Job summary
We are looking for an advanced podiatrist to join a team of Podiatrists providing outpatient care and support to inpatients. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver specialist foot care at Barnet Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. Post registration experience in diabetes, vascular disease and other acute foot conditions is a must. Candidates should be highly motivated, should have the ability to cope with and manage clinical emergencies, and positively manage stress in a busy and demanding environment.
This post also requires high level of understanding in clinical governance, audit, risk management, safeguarding, duty of candour and evidence-based practice. 2. oBSc Degree in Podiatric Medicine or Diploma (if qualified prior to 1992)
3. oHealth Professions Council (HPC) registration

8. oExperience of working at a band 6 level or above in an acute hospital setting with a high risk caseload
9. oExperience of multidisciplinary and interagency working
10. oExperience of working with a wide range of patient and disease/pathology types including the at-risk and high-risk foot and neurovascular tests
11. oExperience of acute and chronic at risk wound care management
12. oAwareness/experience of setting & maintaining clinical standards and clinical audit

14. oUnderstanding of role of podiatry within current evolving health environment
15. oPrevious experience of junior staff & student supervision/ clinical education
