Job Description
SBS is looking for a Finance Business Partner to support our UK business, working closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner to provide strategic insights and financial leadership. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career with a leading financial services software provider, playing a key role in driving financial performance.
What will the role involve?
1. Partnering with the UK Lending Senior Leadership Team, providing expert financial insights to support decision-making.
2. Managing monthly closings and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
3. Developing dashboards and reports, making complex financial data accessible to operational teams.
4. Leading financial reporting and executive summaries for Group-level leadership.
5. Overseeing budget preparation, tracking performance, and highlighting key variances.
6. Monitoring and optimising cash flow, ensuring financial stability and efficiency.
7. Enhancing cost control awareness, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiencies.
Cross-Functional Responsibilities:
1. Designing dashboards aligned with Group strategy and accounting standards.
2. Ensuring compliance with financial policies and best practices.
3. Overseeing financial procedures, including accounts payable, expense claims, and cash flow management.
4. Preparing Group reporting and collaborating with local and Group auditors.
5. Coordinating finance teams across the UK, working closely with local accounting.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
1. Experience in a Finance Controller / Finance Business Partner role within a multinational environment.
2. Audit background (Big 4 preferred) with strong financial control expertise.
3. Ability to work independently in a pan-European team while influencing senior stakeholders.
4. Strong communication skills, confident in working with senior management and C-level executives.
5. Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint (Power BI knowledge is a plus!)
