Working for a National Planned and Reactive Maintenance contractor in the Oxfordshire region.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage retrofit contracts from inception to completion, ensuring projects meet client requirements, budgets, and deadlines.
2. Preparation of programmes of work and management of operational delivery within agreed budgets, objectives, and targets.
3. Oversee energy-saving projects, including insulation, low-carbon heating systems, window/door replacements, and ventilation improvements.
4. Implement and ensure compliance with the company health, safety, welfare, and employment policies and legislation.
5. Understand the contract and the company’s obligations and ensure all requirements are met.
6. Develop excellent relationships with client representatives, residents, and all stakeholders.
7. Ensure the effective delivery of retrofit solutions in line with each client’s commitments to external funders, including wall and loft insulation, window and door replacements, ventilation and draughtproofing, low/no carbon heating, lighting, and energy installations.
8. Ensure ongoing full compliance of projects/works with Electrical, Gas Regulations, Building Regulations, ECO, and other funding sources, PAS2030/2035.
9. Ensure all client enquiries, issues, and requests are actioned and resolved within appropriate timescales.
10. Effective management of engineers and sub-contractors, providing support on technical issues and performance management.
11. Facilitate team meetings to include performance/operational delivery reviews, H&S information, company updates, and relevant training and guidance.
12. Undertake site inspections to continuously monitor health and safety, quality of work, and overall productivity.
13. Check and prepare site reports, designs, and drawings.
14. Develop relationships with commercial team members to ensure management of costs, budgets, and profit meeting all reporting timescales.
Knowledge/Experience:
1. Experience in managing retrofit, construction, or energy efficiency projects.
2. Strong knowledge of retrofit standards (PAS2030/2035, ECO), building regulations, and energy-saving technologies.
3. Proven experience developed from time-served apprenticeship through to Site Management.
4. Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
5. IOSH Managing Safely.
6. CSCS Managers category.
7. Knowledge of Temporary Works Procedures.
8. Knowledge and understanding of site admin methods and practices.
9. Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
10. Good commercial awareness, ability to identify variations to contract.
11. Excellent knowledge of construction methods, technology, and materials.
12. Knowledge of IT applications ranging from Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Power Project.
13. A HSE recognised First Aid at work qualification.
Desirable:
1. A Retrofit Coordinator or Retrofit assessor qualification.
2. Previous experience of delivering retrofit/sustainability work programmes.
3. Experience in project management and/or technical management of M&E systems/heat networks.
