SEN-TA – Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time Pay: £85-£100 per day Location: Cheshunt Job Type: Full Time, Long Term About the role: As an SEN-TA – Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting students with ASD in Key Stages 1 and 2. You’ll work closely with teachers and the SENCO to develop tailored strategies, ensuring each child feels supported both academically and emotionally. * Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Knowledge of ASD-specific strategies and interventions.
* Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
* A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD.
* Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
* Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
* Monitor and report on student progress and well-being.
* Support the development of social and communication skills.
