Are you an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with experience working on refurbishment projects thinking about a fresh start / challenge?
Due to my clients securing several new contracts, I am recruiting for an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Leeds with hybrid working available. My clients are a leading regional main contractor who specialise in commercial, residential, student accommodation and leisure sectors, typically working on projects up to £30m.
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor on an ambitious £25m 130 apartment development refurbishment and a two storey extension. This exciting project will transform the landscape, bringing the landmark development to life.
Duties of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Assisting in preparing budgets, cost plans and valuations
Conducting site visits to monitor progress and assess variations
Working closely with operations, design and health and safety teams towards key project targets
Establishing and developing productive and professional working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Supporting the monitoring of cost control and implement cost mitigation strategies, assessing risk, at all times acting fairly and reasonably
Contributing data to assist with the production of a monthly commercial report, fully describing the position and plan for management of risk, opportunity, cost and value for those sub-contracts delegated to you to manage
supporting to ensure timely agreement of final accounts with your supply chain packages
Requirements of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Experience working for either a Sub-Contractor or Main Contractor.
Relevant Degree or Qualifications.
Experience working in a fast paced environment.
UK Drivers License
