Nursery Manager - Guisborough - January start
This role is to start in January on a full-time long-term basis.
The hours will be 40 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide outstanding leadership and operational management of the nursery.
2. Maintain an exciting and inspirational child-led, play-based curriculum in line with our IB framework.
3. Manage, train, support and inspire our staff team to meet the needs of all children in our care.
4. Contribute to the writing and monitoring of an annual budget and implement marketing and sales plans for the nursery.
5. Use our Tapestry system to monitor children's progress, share observations with parents, and plan activities to support each child's development.
6. Maintain staffing ratios at all times.
7. Engage parents and the community in the nursery.
8. Work under the guidance of our EYFS Lead to share good practice and ensure consistent implementation of approaches to childcare.
9. Maintain full regulatory and legislative approval for the nursery, including meeting Ofsted, Environmental Health, and Health and Safety requirements.
10. Undertake any other duties and responsibilities reasonably requested by the leadership team.

3. Demonstrable leadership qualities able to motivate and develop others and self.

5. Ability to engage the community and build relationships with parents.
6. Excellent communication skills.
Skills/Qualifications:
1. QTS, Early Years Professional Status, Early Years Teacher Status, or another suitable qualification that is full and relevant for early years.
2. Good communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
3. The ability to work in a thriving team and busy environment.
4. A working knowledge of the nursery free entitlement system and local authority reporting requirements.
5. An understanding of local safeguarding procedures.
6. An embedded understanding of child development and how children learn.
7. An embedded understanding of the EYFS and Development Matters.
