Quality Assurance Operative
£25,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience
Full time on site, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
* Ensure that the Company Quality and Food Safety System, Policies, Procedures and Standards are adhered to, meeting safety, legality, and quality requirements.
* Enforce Factory Personal Hygiene and Food Safety Regulations.
* Advise and consult with relevant parties concerning safety, legality and quality issues.
* Provide QA support to the manufacturing operation and assist in problem solving concerning safety, legality and quality issues throughout the site.
* Complete daily, weekly, and monthly QA/technical records/internal audits.
* Process raw material complaints and work with the team to solve related technical/QA problems.
* Process customer complaints and work with customers to resolve product safety, legality and quality issues.
* Liaise with the Production Manager/Business manager/external consultant regarding hygiene procedures effectiveness and advise on hygiene schedules and cleaning instructions. Work with the site team to improve cleaning operations and chemical use.
* Liaise with the Management Team regarding actions from audits, laboratories, customer complaints, and advise senior management and operatives accordingly.
Person Specification:
* Verbal & written communication, negotiation, report writing and presentations.
* Knowledge of Food Legislation/BRCGS Food standard.
* Knowledge of Quality & Food Safety Procedures, HACCP microbiological and analytical techniques, and interpretation of results.
* Understanding of quality, safety and legality management, manufacturing and statistical techniques.
* Knowledge and experience of assessments of raw materials.
* Computer literacy.
