A major UK & Intermational freight forwarding company are looking for a Key Account Manager to join their organisation and manage their major Air Import client base. Full training will be provided. ROLE: Account Manager - Air Import Location: Slough Basic Salary: £46k dependent upon experience Bonus: 10% of salary annually Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm Office and Hybrid based. Position: Key Account Manager Predominantly airfreight imports, however there will be road freight import/exports and courier shipments to manage. An understanding of time critical shipping is very important, as perishable and ship sparesin transit shipments are a regular occurrence. The role is to account manage a large number of major air import clients, dealing with them on a daily basis, also carrying out their start tofinish airfreight imports/operations, and processing import customs entries. From first arranging the shipment from the client, to invoicing out and filing, and everything in between. Working hours are 09.00-17.00, Monday to Friday. There may be the occasional need for out of hours work, however we give our team the tools to complete such work from home. The need foroccasional out of hours work is reflected in the salary we are offering, and in extreme circumstances, we will pay a call out fee for work conductedoutside of working hours. It's also in the candidates benefit to put in the extra work needed, as ultimately this will ensure business is maintained, targets are hit, and commission is earned. Candidates experience must include start to finish, airfreight imports. Whomever we decide to employwill be responsible for, and will need to have already gained experience with the following, Customs Clearance of airfreight shipments using CDS (Our operating system is Sequoia) Road Freight exports/imports customs entriesincluding raising T1 documents Coordinating with handling agents at LHR to obtain release of cargo Arrange collections and deliveries to clients, nationwide Quoting clients Administration including raising invoices, and passing suppliers invoices for payment Strong understanding of quality customer service. Troubleshooting (Frequently, these clients we work with will present a problem, which we are not already familiar with, meaning we need to go away and determine how to resolve their issue - Think outside the box) Strong attention to detail. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experienced Air import freight candidates who have worked with clients and carried out most of the above.
