This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care. Hours: This is a bank position, offering the flexibility for you to choose shifts that work around you! Main duties of the job
As our new Substance Misuse Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
1. Be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages, phlebotomy and assessment, treatment and the evaluation of patients care
2. This role will support the SMS NMP team in delivering medication and care to our substance misuse patients.
3. You will primarily be working within the clinical substance misuse team, although may be required to carry out duties in the primary care team
4. You will support the registered nurse in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care and be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery

Our new Healthcare Assistant will:
9. Hold a NVQ Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent
10. Have experience in a care setting previously - ideally from a hospital or prison setting
11. Any experience in substance misuse or mental health would be a bonus!
12. Ideally second checking experience
13. Have a non-judgemental and compassionate approach
