Due to an imminent retirement, this established global firm of Accountants with offices based in Northamptonshire is looking for a Tax Manager or a Tax Supervisor seeking the next step up to join their successful team.
The basic salary is open to negotiation, however, it will be at market rate depending on the experience offered by the candidate and could be anywhere between £45,000 - £65,000 (negotiable), plus benefits including private medical health and a holiday purchase scheme.
The Tax Manager/Tax Supervisor will be responsible for working with personal tax and corporation tax and assisting with the supervision of team members.
The ideal Tax Manager/Tax Supervisor will:
1. Be ATT/CTA qualified or possess equivalent relevant experience.
2. Have previous accountancy practice experience in a tax advisory role.
3. Be proficient in understanding UK tax legislation and its practical application.
4. Demonstrate experience in managing client relationships and portfolios.
5. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
7. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Show a commitment to continuous professional development.
Responsibilities include:
1. Manage and cultivate client relationships, ensuring tax services are executed efficiently and effectively.
2. Supervise and mentor tax staff, fostering a constructive and supportive learning environment.
3. Provide tax advice to individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts.
4. Oversee tax compliance, ensuring submissions are accurate and timely.
5. Identify, investigate, and resolve complex tax issues, providing clear and comprehensive solutions.
6. Liaise with HMRC and other regulatory bodies when required.
7. Engage in business development activities, representing the firm at events and developing new client relationships.
