We are seeking an experienced Therapy Programme Manager to join our team at Castle Craig Hospital.

We operate an abstinence-oriented, 12 Step informed programme for addictions and have run a successful therapy programme since 1988. We are located 45 minutes from Edinburgh and 50 minutes from Glasgow, in the beautiful Scottish Borders.
We are leaders in the UK and European rehab field, treating up to 82 patients onsite and many more via teletherapy. We also have clinics and networks in Ireland, London, the Netherlands and Sweden.

The Therapy Programme Manager is responsible for the working standards of the therapy team at Castle Craig Hospital. This includes the inpatient and outpatient activity of the service. They will work closely with the Medical Director, Operations Manager, Head Nurse and Unit Leads to ensure the highest standards of therapeutic treatment of patients at Castle Craig.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the delivery of the therapy treatment programme at Castle Craig in line with hospital guidelines and protocols.
* Review and maintain quality standards in therapy department: monitor quality of therapist-delivered components of treatment programme, update written guidelines and protocols, ensure quality of patient therapeutic materials.
* Ensure the appropriate use of EMR systems to improve and enhance the patient therapeutic experience.
* Recruitment & induction of new therapy staff and recovery advocates.
* Oversee the ongoing process of training, professional development & accreditation of therapists.
* Ensure appropriate clinical supervision standards for all therapy team members.
* Line management of the unit leads.
* Oversee the use of clinical audit and quality improvement projects to monitor and improve the quality of clinical care and documentation.
* Staying up to date with research and innovation in the treatment field and suggesting and presenting quality improvements and programme enhancements to the Medical Director.
Other Responsibilities
* Maintain professional practice by maintaining a minimum number of clinical hours, and maintain own CPD.
* Contribute to service-wide training needs and create and ensure delivery of an annual therapy training plan.
* Contribute to the design and oversight of outcomes monitoring systems.
* Engagement with funding and referral agencies and media when required.
* Attend or present at professional conferences.
* Liaise with external therapy bodies.
* Assist Operations/Hospital Manager with complaints / incident handling.
* Contribute to inspection preparedness.

Essential Qualifications
* HCPC Registered Allied Health Professional, or accredited psychotherapist (BACP, UKCP, BABCP, COSCA).
Preferred Qualifications
* Recognised leadership or management qualification – Level 5.
Experience Required
* Extensive experience working with addictions and dual diagnosis in multidisciplinary team settings.
* Candidate should be certified in clinical supervision.
* Previous record of leadership and management, including service improvement and change management.
* Knowledge of and experience working with 12 Step recovery approaches is essential, ideally with prior experience of both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 09h00 – 17h00, however flexibility is required to meet the demands of the role.
