As a DevOps Staff Engineer in Cardiff, you will drive the team formation, implementation and maintenance of a robust CI/CD pipeline within HID PACS. This is a wide-ranging role, implementing the functions of the DevOPS blueprint as described by the DevOps Architect. The qualified candidate will establish a sustainable DevOps framework and methodology, providing a fully supported and scalable test enviroment which support CI/CD. Who are we? Your Experience and Education include: • Engineering degree or equivalent or suitable experience. • Minimum of 7 years of related industry experience. • Familiarity with infrastructure management and monitoring tools. • Awareness of developer operations platform tooling such as Jenkins, Gradle, Snyk, SonarQube, DefectDojo, Ansible, Yocto, Yocto Cooker, Ant, Maven, NPM, Nexus, Docker, Terraform, AWS DevOps Services (As examples) • Familiarity with documentation standards and practices with a developer operations focus. • Good presenting and communication skills, good judgment, analytical ability. • Experience in building and maintaining good working relationships with both external and internal parties • Strong IT skills and knowledge including hardware, software, and networking. • Ability to work on complex tasks without technical guidance. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices • Should have knowledge of various test/development methodologies such as TDD, BDD, Acceptance Testing and Unit Testing.
